Chris Rini is an artist from New York City, living in Denmark with his wife and two children. His artwork is a kind of storytelling with a focus on the creative, innovative, and dubious ways people survive and find love in the world. His perspective has been shaped from living and working in neighborhoods that are defined by extremes: wealth, crime, indulgence, and scarcity. New York City and Denmark have been influential in his depiction of landscapes and the manufactured environment, reflected in his wood engravings.
Currently Chris is exhibiting his artwork with MDS Gallery in Copenhagen and working as a columnist for the Copenhagen Post, profiling the stories of immigrants trying to make a new life in Denmark and teaches private art students at his school in Roskilde.
This is the storytelling archive. Welcome :)
